Currently an Artist Manager at Opus 3 Artists, in New York City, Christina Baker has long experience in the field of talent management and broad expertise in the business of classical music.
Having trained as a classical flutist, she went on to work at Columbia Artists Management Inc., serving from 1999 to 2003 as an assistant to the senior vice president. In this capacity she participated in the planning and administration of numerous orchestral tours and provided assistance in the management of a number of major attractions and headliners such as Marvin Hamlisch.
From 2003 to 2007, Baker was a booking representative at ICM Artists, and through the company's transition into Opus 3 Artists. She returned to CAMI in 2007 as the company’s West Coast representative and subsequently served as Southeast representative.
In her years in the business, she has been responsible for negotiating and securing engagements for many of the world's leading orchestras, classical soloists and vocalists, dance companies and other major artists and high-profile attractions. Baker has worked extensively in every territory of the United States and has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the country's presenting organizations – from the largest commercial houses and promoters to the most specialized chamber music and recital series.
Baker started Baker Artists, LLC in 2013 managing such Artist as The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Javier Perianes, the Attacca Quartet, and Christina and Michelle Naughton.
