Devi Reddy: Primo Artists, Booking Representative
Devi Reddy is the Booking Representative for Primo Artists, a boutique artist management agency based in New York. With a selective roster of several of the world’s finest classical artists, from rising stars to household names, Reddy handles North American booking for violinists Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell and Nicola Benedetti and pianists Beatrice Rana and Seong-Jin Cho. Primo Artists’ roster further includes rising conductors Cristian Măcelaru, Christian Reif and Gemma New.
Reddy’s passion for music originated from the age of 4, when she first began classical piano studies. She later incorporated classical voice, choral singing and musical theater into her musical studies. Reddy went on to pursue her passion at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where she received a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Musicology with a piano concentration as well as two minors in Performing Arts Management and Spanish Language, Literature & Culture.
During her college years, Reddy interned for such prestigious organizations as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Ravinia Festival in Chicago and Primo Artists in New York. Her time at the Metropolitan Opera was spent securing O-1(B) visas for international artists; at the Ravinia Festival assisting in transportation of artists, backstage operations and hospitality; and at Primo Artists fulfilling administrative tasks.
Shortly after graduation, Reddy moved to New York City where she began her career in the music business as Primo Artists’ Booking Representative, having been brought on full-time after her high performance as an intern. Standing as one of the youngest agents in the business, she has been blessed with unparalleled mentorship and guidance from Primo Artists’ President and Founder, Charlotte Lee. Reddy hopes to one day found her own artist management agency, equipped with the vast knowledge she has acquired from working in close collaboration with Ms. Lee and other highly respected industry leaders.
