Lea Glubochansky (Age: 16)
Lea began playing violin when she was 7 years old, although the first try was when she was 4.
She worked with Mme Lucine Balikian till the age of 15, violin professor in Fortissimo Academy of Music and Arts in Montreal. Last year she was accepted to the Conservatoire de Music de Montreal in the class of Mme Andree Azar. Every year Lea won first places in various competitions in Quebec, Canada. 2013 CMC National round finalist. For the last three years Lea participates in performances of Youth Chamber orchestra. In January 19, 2014 she won the prestigious Crescendo International Competition and performed in the Carnegie Hall.
She is an active performer with Orchestre de Jeunes de Montreal under the batton of Mr. Louis Lavigeur and will join the Orchestre to their tourney in China winter 1017. She also performs in the String orchestra of the Conservatoire under the batton of Prof. Denis Brott.
As a student in College St Jean de Brebeuf of Montreal (secondaire 5) she dedicates all her available time to music. Summer 2015 Lea has participated in Venice Music Master (Venice, Italy) with Mme Evgeniya Chugaeva, Mr. Victor Tretyakov of Moscow Gnesin Music Academy and since then works with Prof. Vladimir Landsman and Prof. Axel Strauss from McGill Shulich Academy of music. in Venice she has also participated in the classes of Mr. Gilles Apap. In 2015 - winner of Classival Prix Jeanne d'Arc Ouellet.
Lea has participated in the masterclass with Professor Mikhail Kopelman December 2016 in New York and was invited by him to the Bowdoin festival in Maine, US in July 2017. Early in July she participated in the Orford Music festival in the class of Yehonatan Berrick, violin professor from Ottawa University.
The upcoming concerts included a Fortissimo competition Gala concert in December 2017, solo recital in September, as well as the performances which are a part of Bowdoin (US) and Orford festivals. She has a full time participation in the concert series with OSJM and Louis Lavigeur, with whom she is participating in the tourney in France July 2018 and will perform for the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and Haut Ecole de Music in Lauzanne for Pavel Vernikov (to be confirmed). Lea is looking forward to participate in the Concours Musical international de Montréal in 2019.
